Charter Group Operations and Member Benefits

Founded in 1991, the Charter Group is a network of significant independent firms of Chartered Accountants each with its own client and contact base within most industries and business communities, the public sector and other professional firms and bodies both in Ireland and abroad.

All members of the Charter Group are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, are registered auditors and have individual partners who are members of the Irish Taxation Institute.  Professional staff and trainees are mainly comprised of members and students of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland but also include ACCA and CPA affiliates.

Group members share knowledge and experience through periodic meetings and workshops which form an expert knowledge base for the consideration of technical and professional issues vital to delivering client services and efficient practice management.

The exchange of technical information, referral of clients and sharing of expertise is achieved through a permanently funded secretariat to co-ordinate the Charter Group’s internal and external activities.
